Everything seems fine, no connection

Hi (admin last post tnite)

I am having trouble getting Xampp running.

I get the Welcome to Xampp page, and I copied the content of my http.conf file from before as that was working.

I set my root
I have uploaded a DB to phpmyadmin
I am providing the correct credentials. Any troubleshooting to help?

I have everything set-up as I did previously, without any luck.

Any tips?

Unfortunately, i have no idea what you are doing there. A general hint: dont simply copy httpd.conf from an older or different version, Xampp and as well Apache changes from time to time and configuration differs. If you need to change httpd.conf (usually it is not necessary to change it, as Xampp runs out of the box), be carefull about what you are changing and do not simply overtake everything.

I also do not have the slightest idea what you mean by "correct credentials", as this is not required in order to run Xampp. Finally, i dont know what it means when you set-up "everything" (what is "everything"??) as "before" (what before?). What did you do in the past?
