xampp\htdocs or xampp\apps

I copied all my wordpress files into xampp\htdocs and every thing was working fine but now the files are moved into xampp\apps and I have the basic version on wordpress in xampp\htdocs all my changes and customized pages are not seen in browser, which this is so? where to maintain my pages xampp\htdocs or xampp\apps kindly suggest.

If you install wordpress via the Bitnami wordpress app, it will install it for you in \xampp\apps\
If you install the default wordpress from the officiall source you can install it whereever you want, commonly in \xampp\htdocs\

Thanks.... but how to open the files in xampp\apps? when ever i open http://localhost/wordpress it points to wordpress instance under xampp\htdocs not the xampp\apps instance.

If you install Wordpress via Bitnami app installer it creates an Alias pointing to the installation in your \xampp\apps\ folder.
