I'm getting the same problem. I would love some help on this. Thanks.

Actually found a solution myself. For anyone else who has this problem, check this out.

Why this is a bad example of a community board support request:

  • It contains nearly none information about the issue. Even the original topic just contains generic error messages. There are multiple different reasons and solutions how to solve "Apache won't start"
  • The posted "solution" is not easy accessible for users of this board. You need to register an account and sign a course just to get a video about how to do something. It is not searchable or findable.
  • The video itself only describes how to change the Apache ports. While this is not a solution for every "Apache won't start" reason it is even the very last solution i would suggest someone to do

This thread gives you detailed instructions about how to analyze this generic issue properly:
[Q&A] Insufficient debug information - Apache starting issue

This thread gives detailed and instructions on how to solve specific "Apache won't start" issues (including but not exclusive how to change the Apache ports properly)
[Q&A] Apache won't start

And if you need to open a new support request again, please read and folllow this thread first which is also linked as "forum rules":

^^ Exactly spot on Altrea! It honestly never ceases to amaze me how ridiculous some of these support questions can be on here at times ... I often shake my head at some of these help posts from people ... I said this once before on another thread and I'll say it again here -- and I don't mean to come across as an ass or anything but seriously some of you people who ask for help need to learn how to use the friggin' SEARCH feature here on the AF support forums before y'alls go off posting repeated & redundant posts/threads that have been answered time and time and time again in the past...

IMHO some of these people seriously have no business running this incredibly easy to use server software ... there are so many dimwits trying to run this and have absolutely no idea what they are doing ... and then they come here for help expecting everything to work right out of the box as if no knowledge was necessary ... Lol ... sorry if that seems kind of harsh for some out there but I'm just telling it like I see it...

Truth be told most people attempting to run XAMPP are clueless and have absolutely no business installing XAMPP ... but hey what can you do ... its free for all to use ... and while that's cool and all ... it also brings a lot of idiots to these forums lol

Anyway, sorry for that little rant on here ... but I just felt a bit compelled to get that off my chest again

Thanks for all that you do here to help everyone here nevertheless Altrea! I don't know how you do it, but I think I'd go insane trying to help some of these clueless Joe's that come here asking for help! :P

I definately do not answer anymore on these kind of questions, which are always the same, mostly with an extremely poor description and even so mostly havent been researched in any way, as already Google will find thousands of helpfull hints.
