Where can I download website template?

Postby kenny1999 » 02. April 2016 23:25

hi I need a simple website. It will show some photos and text, and the visitors can leave questions or message to me, which will be sent to my email. Nothing otherwise required. No specified design needed.

But I don't know anything about writing code or website. I want the websites with a control panel, that can be dynamically managed and modified... Is there any such website template that will fit my simple need available for download?

I will look for web hosting by myself later.
Thank you all.

I dont know any templates for download and i think, it is still a sophisticated task to fill and configure them, as well as to run your own webspace. If i were you, i would go for a preconfigured blog or similar, a provider which provides templates and webspace in one hand.

For example www.jimdo.com or www.wordpress.com

Hi,

You would need a Content Management System (CMS) as base. This would help you managing your sites and articles dynamically.
There are multiple CMS available for free like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.
Then you would need a Template for this specific CMS. There are free Templates available too.
You will need someone to teach you how to use this CMS and how to edit this template.
There are multiple tutorials available in the internet. Maybe you will be able to learn this by yourself, maybe not.

best wishes,
Altrea

Therefore i recommended tools like jimdo, as all these CMS are extremely powerfull and hard to learn (even I cannot work with them....), in my mind these are Overkill for that single task.

I have just registered a free account in Jimdo, weebly and wix

I am comparing their upgrade service. They mostly start with at least 1 year and is not very cheap.

Which one do you guy recommend?? Or anything otherwise?

What do you expect to be very cheap?
60$ a year for a personal website and 240$ a year for a business website is absolutely fair.

Remember, you don't need an own server, air conditioning, backup strategy, high end internet connection, etc and get a really powerful website builder on top.

Which of this services is most suitable for you is your own decision. Because you do not have any knowledge in website building the ease of the website builder and the support/service should have a high priority in your decision. Simply try them out. And because of the topic of your website you should check their terms of service if this type of contents is allowed to get hosted their.

Not cheap? How much is it, one single Big Mac per month? Or one pint of beer per month? Really not cheap?? Let it be if you dont want to pay, its only an offer.
