Error apache, dont start and no logs

Postby za4me » 26. December 2015 20:27

Hi, excuse me for my bad English.

Established hampp 3.2.2 with php 7.

When you start apache get the error: Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly.
Logs errors are not recorded. The file is empty.

I tried this method to change the port, does not help. https://community.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=69784&p=239058#p239064
Skype is disconnected from port 80.

Thank you very much for your help.

Reinstall version 5.6.15 everything works fine.

The observed differences in the configuration files.
In version 7 all the way indicated as: "/xampp/apache"
And given the full 5.6.15: "D:/prog/xampp/apache"

This is Xampp bug, as for now Xampp 7.0 is unusable.
Usually this kind of problem is fixed by executing setup_xampp.bat, but the script is broken in PHP 7.

I've tried the fix for the script from here: https://community.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=72590
But It's still not working, I guess I'll postpone testing PHP 7 until the developer fix this problem.

What a bummer.. :(

You comment is unusable. I installed Xampp 7.0 successfully without any problems on my Windows machine.

It is unusable Nobbie, if you use the portable version it doesn't work. Not even with the fix on the other thread.

Your comments are not useful, you are just spreading hate, we already know that the installation on the default folder worked for you, not everyone wants to install on c:\xampp.

For those who wants to use Xampp with php 7: use the 5.6.15 version, and update the php manually.

I tried this one, it works :)

You have to learn to be precisely. It is wrong to say "Xampp 7 is unusable", as there are many usable cases. You must say "Xampp 7 cannot be installed as portable version". By far not everybody wants to install Xampp as portable version and for all these standard users Xampp 7 works perfectly.

What does not work? Error message? Nobody can help you, if you do not specify exactly what is going wrong.

Awesome, for someone who posts "unusable" comments, like Nobbie said, you were quite useful. It works!

Noddie don't get your panties in a twist, I have seen your answers, you are helpful as hell. Your answers are always the same, search google for...

Seriously, I haven't seen anything constructive from your participation on this forum, this community would be better off without you.

In the most recent versions Bitnami have fixed the setup_xampp.bat script.
Please try out the new XAMPP 7.0.0-1 or XAMPP 7.0.1 versions:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/f ... 20Windows/
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!
