Code-Editors

I just read DavidMD's post about DZSoft-Software and downloaded it for testing. And now I want to know, which PHP-Editors YOU are using. Don't post kind of "vi" oder "notepad" - I know them already ;)

personaly I'm using jEdit and PHPCoder

jEdit:
OS: all Java-supporting OS'
kind: Freeware
info: http://www.jedit.org/
download: http://www.jedit.org/index.php?page=download
language: English (perhaps a plugin for others)

DzSoft PHP Editor
OS: Windows
kind: Shareware (39$)
download & info: http://www.dzsoft.com/dzphp.htm
language: english

PHPCoder
OS: Windows
kind: Freeware
info: http://www.insearchnow.com/php_coder/programs/coder.htm
download: http://www.insearchnow.com/php_coder/downloads.htm#PHP Coder
language: englisch

Code-Editors

Postby DavidMD » 12. March 2003 02:04

Hello, everyone.

I continue to use DzSoft PHP Editor under Windows, but its lack of a debugger is becoming more and more of a problem for me -- although the author does plan to include a debugger in a future release.

Aside from the lack of a debugger, I am very happy with DzSoft PHP Editor (http://www.dzsoft.com/).

Thanks! :)

Cordially,

David

Hello, Boppy!

I see that PHPCoder is a prerelease version of the software (and not a final release).

Have you had any problems with it?

Thanks! :)

David

What's that!? :)

I think, that that is the very best solution for PHP-Coding. Self-spekin' GUI, very good Code-Highlighting and a description for functions (selfmade ones...) and the very best ist the Completer. You just have to type "func [SHIFT+SPACE]" and it will write down the function-declairing lines in PHP.

It really is the biggest advice I can give you :)
