XAMPP Install

Postby depth10 » 04. September 2015 03:48

When I install XAMPP for the first time and navigate to localhost, I am NOT greeted with the yellow background config page with all of the sections on the left pane. Instead, I am greeted with the below, with NO left hand side menu. Did I do something wrong? How do I configure XAMPP?

You dont need to configure anything, everything is ready for use, out of the box. Put your scripts and files to htdocs folder and run them via http://localhost - thats it.

I too am having this issue. Everything seems to install fine, and I am able to start both Apache and MySQL.

However, if I type in localhost, or click on the Admin button for Apache (in the XAMPP Control Panel), I am redirected to the localhost\dashboard which does not display the dashboard but displays the Welcome message - which does not help much.
