Sendmail folder missing

I'm using Xampp 5.6.3 along with Windows 8.1 and I'm facing this issue: there's no sendmail folder in xampp. No folder, no files included. And now I need it in order to set email local sending properly. I wonder what's due to. And most of all if there's a way to fix it, because I can't erase all my files, databases and local sites by making a brand-new Xampp installation.

If i were you, i would simply download one of the many sendmail programs out there in the WWW and put it whereever you want.

Could you suggest any? Obviously I need to run it along with Xampp because I'm testing local sites. Thanks.

No, i dont use sendmail. I would suggest to use the sendmailer class instead of the PHP mail() function: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sendmailer/
