300 mgzServer

i have bought a 300 mgz server with 128mb of ram yesterday i put wampp 1.4 and when i try to start it it lag as hell and i think it freezing there a solution that i can do ? :? oh yea and my os is windows 98

drop 98 (not designed to be a server), more memory!!!!!!! and a 300mhz should be fine, but with a 300 lampp and linux might be better.

what is 300 lampp

and what the best linux to use ? redhat 9.0 ?

300 lampp = 300 Mhx Linux machine with Apache / PHP / MySQL / PhpAdmin (at least.. that is my guess :-) )

The best linux version for a server according to me is Debian. It is completely free and very stable and updating packages because of possible security risks is very easy using 'apt-get'

do it had a friendly interface at least a desktop that i can click on thing ?

and is that the great version for AMD k-6 300 mgz

2 things: yes to delphiro and mandrake is freakin easy for new ppl. yes this is a win forum, but its all about xampp.
