Still searching(desparate)

Can anybody explain this or maybe tell me what to do to fix things? I just installed xampp for the third time . I inserted a page and get this message. Line 416 on the page in question is a connection(which used on a previous version of xampp worked)., i.e:
my $dbh = DBI->connect('dbi:mysql:vssa:localhost','root','password') or die('Couldnt connect');

Following is the error I'm getting:

install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't load 'C:/xampp/perl/vendor/lib/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.dll' for module DBD::mysql: load_file:The specified module could not be found at C:/xampp/perl/lib/DynaLoader.pm line 190.
at (eval 9) line 3.
Compilation failed in require at (eval 9) line 3.thire
Perhaps a required shared library or dll isn't installed where expected
at C:/xampp/cgi-bin/forms/new_client_induction_1.pl line 416.
For help, please send mail to the webmaster (postmaster@localhost), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

After looking at an error I recently posted I admit my guilt for not having provided better information. The error in question involves a perl connection to mysql not working. The error was as follows:

My connection line (line 418)was: my $dbh = DBI->connect('dbi:mysql:vssa:localhost','root','') or die('Couldnt connect');

I searched and the mysql.dll' was there as was the module DBD::mysql: but the one listed after that I could not find which is load_file. I looked on c-pan at the DBD::mysql module and found no load_file.

I know it probably isn’t a mysql problem because phpmyadmin loads up and I imported some sql files successfully. I loaded the moodle module to see if it was a perl problem or if php was connecting and although I didn’t go through moodle extensively everything appeared to be working okay. Other than that, this is all I have to go on(that I can see, but then I don’t even really know what to look for). I really need to have this program going as it is for a non-profit organization for support of veterans.

I have searched this and other sites for the past week and have found nothing as of yet.
In advance I give my thanks and hope I can get this going.

Hi typomaniac,

I don't see any reason for you to create new thread after new thread after new thread, ...

Don't create new topics everyday without adding new information like you have done in the past.
And especially give the community some time to read and react to your thread.
Not every user is reading this board every day like i do.

If you want to add new information to your thread, add a reply to your original thread.

And if you don't get any helpful replies for a fair amount of time, then maybe here is noone with the knowledge or experience to help you out. I for example don't do any PERL programming. And maybe users here doing PERL don't using PERL with DBD.
