How to activate SMTP Service?

Hi
In my xampp status,i see the SMTP Service is deactivated.. Please how to activate it? i use OCS and glpi and now i want to use the glpi notification mail,so i configure it,i change some things in the php.ini files but it is always unsuccess. So i when i saw the SMTP service deactivated i thought it is may be the problem. Even if, it isn't i want to know please how to activate it.

I dont know any of these and none of them is part of Xampp. You should ask there, how to activate email.

oh sorry .. so forget what i said on Ocs and glpi.Yes,it seems the same question "how to activate email", and in the xampp status the page shows information about what's running and working,and what isn'nt working. then the SMTP service is deactivated, and i want to see it activated, so how could i do it?

Hi,i have the solution. I start the mercury service and the smtp service is activated. thank you
