mysql is not working in xampp

i am new to xampp and i downloaded xampp-win32-5.6.8-0-VC11-installer yesterday and after installing it, xampp control panel v3.2.1 appears and in that in front of Apache when i click start it status changed to running but when click start against MySql then it was displaying that " Attempting to start MySql service..." and nothing happens further . at first i had mysql installed in my sysytem then it was showing path banned so i unistall mysql and delete its root directory and again install xampp do the same thing but this time there is only one message displaying "Attempting to start MySql service...". what can i do start it please someone help me.
