Cannot set XAMPP password in Terminal - HELP!!

Hi

I have been trying to set the password for XAMPP through terminal as it instructs on the XAMPP Security section.

"To fix or close all these matters simply call

/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/xampp security

This will start an interactive program."

However, when I run

'sudo /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/xampp security',

it just responds "

Password:*"

and will not allow me to type anything. The interactive dialog will not run as the instructions show.

I have tried to find help addressing this specific challenge online but no solution has helped.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dont do this and dont try it anymore, there is no need for that if you are working in your private LAN (or only private MAC) and most people destroy their Xampp Installation by this "feature". Simply use Xampp out of the box.

Really? It says connection is insecure though. Is there another way to secure it?

Also, my Word Press application will not connect to MySQL, it is saying because of the password but Drupal, Magento, and Joomla had no issues.

I know, but this only valid in open LANs. Not at home.

If you use the same credentials (Username, Password, Server, Database etc.), you should contact WordPress. I cannot help you on that.
