I got a warning saying XAMPP installer is malicious when trying to download it.

I got the same message when I downloaded yesterday, but the site warned that you might get a virus warning. . I just clicked "allow" and so far, everything's fine. But after the download, I ran the download file through McAfee just to be sure. No worries.

Or don't use the installer and use the zip instead if you are worried.

The XAMPP zip folder flags the same way
I know Google just upped the requirements for signing (I guess)
but it is a bit concerning when everything download wise is flagging as malicious. Not untrusted, but actually malicious
