lampp: command not found

Postby sbrehm » 11. March 2014 20:45

I found this very helpful page for explaining how to enable OCI8 on Mac OSX -- http://www.apachefriends.org/faq_osx.html

However, the first instruction says to run -- sudo /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/lampp oci8

When I run this command, I get an error -- /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/lampp: command not found

I searched and find that I do not have a lampp binary anywhere on my OSX system. -- My configuration is:

Operating System = OSX/Maverick
XAMPP Version = 1.8.3-3

Instead of "lampp" there should be a "xampp" command in that folder, but i think it is not a binary but a shell script.

That did it. Thanks!. I guess the FAQs need more periodic updating?
