It doesn't work

Hello!

I've installed Linux Ubuntu 14.04.

I went onto the XAMPP website to download the XAMPP package, Downloaded fine but when I clicked the file it wouldn't run.. so I went through the terminal to do it like that and it just drops to a new line.. I'm guessing something is wrong with the conf of the file. Is this something I can fix or do I have to wait?

Youre description does not fit any way to the Xampp Installation description (which does not tell to click anything). Did you read the Linux Installation FAQ?
