Access Forbidden, Permissions, and Path Issues

Postby Jagst3r21 » 25. September 2014 03:18

Hi,

I have a few issues.

1) When I type "localhost" I get "Access forbidden!" (Please note that when I type "localhost/xampp" it works, but when I just type "localhost" I get the error. I believe it should work both ways(?)). Is this a permissions issue on my Mac?

2) When I go to localhost/index.html I get "Access forbidden!" as well (again, a possible permissions issue) and when I go to "localhost/xamppHomePage.php" (I renamed my index.php to this) I just get redirected back to "http://localhost/xampp/".

I am not sure how to solve these issues. I think I may need to use "chmod" to solve at least some of the issues...

Thanks in advance.

Is this a fresh Xampp Installation? I dont think so, as you already renamed some files.

Whatelse did you do?
