Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

I am administrator of my network and my laptop but when I start XAMPP it says I have started the program without Administration rights? I have tried everything I know and can not get around this problem.. Can someone help? Thanks

Sounds like you don't understand microsoft's UAC system. The administrator account and running with admin rights are two separate things. Right click the control panel and select run as administrator. This is only necessary if you plan to manipulate services.

you were right but one right click didn't do the job. It took two right clicks to make it run as admin. I didn't expect that. But it does work now. thanks. Oh and I do understand the UAC system.. I have run as Admin with one right click many times,, but never had to do two right clicks. Thanks again

Two right clicks are absolutly nonsense because unneccessary. You only need one right click on the Xampp control panel file to open Windows context menu and one left click on the Run as Administrator entry
