#2002 error mysql using xampp v1.8.3

Postby xhin » 19. May 2014 07:54

Hello all..
i just download xampp at https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html
my problem is, first apache does not running, but i follow some video on youtube to change the port ,

so now apache is running on 82,443 :) but MySQL can not running, and when i open http://localhost:82/phpmyadmin/, access is denied
it says, #2002 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. :(

The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured).

I've been browsing looking tutorial for fix it, but i cant find it :?
Seems all tutor i found are using different version.

I'm using windows 8.1 and xampp v1.8.3 (PHP 5.5.11)
oh, can anyone advise please?

Thank you so much

i too am using xampp 1.8.3.3 (Linux)s and have the same problem. But Apache Friends seems to be not very friendly, as there is never any response to queries like this...

The issue "#2002 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." is a very generic one and reported several dozen times at this board.
Using the board search will give you more than enough information what the issue could be: search.php?keywords=%22%232002%22&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sr=posts&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Suche

because this issue is so generic (MySQL simply is not started) we cannot help for this issue without any further information like log messages.

You should read the thread [FGA] Insufficient debug information
