Enabling ports

Postby michaellucyk » 28. April 2014 13:29

Can someone help me with this;

10:09:12 PM [Apache] Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly.
10:09:12 PM [Apache] This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
10:09:12 PM [Apache] improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
10:09:12 PM [Apache] Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
10:09:12 PM [Apache] the Windows Event Viewer for more clues
10:09:12 PM [Apache] If you need more help, copy and post this
10:09:12 PM [Apache] entire log window on the forums

I am new to this, so anyone willing to assist would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Michael

Hi Michael,

you have to shut down IIS then open again XAMPP and run Apache. It will work.

After this run localhost on your browser.

To configure a web site that run using XAMPP I advice this tutorial that I followed: http://www.tutorialspoint.com/shorttutorials/run-a-php-program-in-xampp-server

Best regards
