how do you launch xampp control panel

I'm running ubuntu gnome 13.10 operating system. After I installed xampp, the control panel launch automatically. The GUI control panel has tabs and you can stop, start, or restart apache, mysql, etc... However, the install failed to make a icon app for my OS. just want to know how to lunch control panel than i will manually make an icon app.
