hello folks

complete new comer to xammp in windows 7 ultimate.

have downloaded xamp - sorted msql and php etc

but cannot get google chrome to show me 'local host; I get a msg
'authentication required. http://localhost80 requires username and password. server says xammp user.

this happens in google chrome or mozilla

any help with this please. the xammp welcome page and control panel open fine

By default a fresh XAMPP installation doesn't ask for a username and password.
So either you have installed XAMPP over an existing XAMPP installation with user authentification
or you have defined authentification with the XAMPP security script by yourself (so you should know the username and password)
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!

It's like porn for programmers 8)
