Cannot start MySQL after moving to new MacBook

Postby renekreijveld » 04. October 2013 15:37

Dear all,

I have the following problem. I recently moved to a new MacBookPro.
I have a full backup of the harddisk of my old MacBook.
From the backup I copied the /Applications/XAMPP folder to my new MacBook.
Now I cannot start MySQL anymore. Apache runs fine.

I get the following error:
The operation couldn’t be completed. (XAMPPErrorDomain error 1.)

I need the files of a specific database. The database is called "fiber". I can see all the files of that database in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/var/mysql/fiber.
Is there any way that I can restore this database? For example by reinstalling XAMPP and then copying the files ?

Thanks in advance!
