Apache blocked on win 7 USB stick, but not on USB drive

Postby giles1000 » 15. July 2013 17:45

Hi,

I've used XAMPP for many years very successfully running on a USB stick (XP). Going across to Win7 I find a case where Apache will not start on a USB stick, but it will start on a USB drive. I've read a number of posts taking about port 80 being occupied by win7, but that's obviously not always the case. It's fine if I attempt to start Apache running on a USB drive, not if I attempt to start Apache running on a stick ... (even in the same USB port)

Any ideas on what's happening here please?
thanks
Giles

Hello,

Could you run the "apache_start.bat" file in the main XAMPP folder and post any errors it outputs.
