Help with Mercury Mail and PHP-Nuke in English please

I am running PHP-Nuke with the latest version of XAMPP. PHP-Nuke has to send an email confirmation to anyone that registers on the site. I cannot figure out how to configure Mercury Mail. If it makes a difference I have a registered domain name but a dynamic IP controlled by DNS2Go. I don't know if I need to subscribe to there email routing service or not. I would rather not since it is expensive. Also ports 110 and 25 are open. Thanks for any assistance.
