my.ini path for plugins on Xampp 1.8.1 version

Is it right the path found at my.ini for the plugins folder, as follows?

# Where do all the plugins live
plugin_dir = "C:/Xampp/mysql/data/lib/plugin/"

I guess the right place for plugins should be:
C:/Xampp/mysql/lib/plugin/"

If it is wrong, does it have any effect on mySQL functioning?
