PHP is not regognized as an internal or external command

Postby acruns » 09. April 2013 15:23

Greetings everyone.

I have installed xampp on Windows 2008 R2 x64 with Apache, mySQL and PHP. The webserver runs fine but when I attempt to execute a php script or run a bat that calls a php Windows returns with 'php' is not recognized as internal or external command, operable program or batch file. It doesn't seem that I can run php from the command line. I have added the path to php.exe to my environment variables but that still doesn't seem to make any difference, I even manually associated php files with php.exe. Any ideas on how I can get php to work from the command line without installing php outside of xampp?

Thanks!
