ssh2 extension

Hi,
I've installed xampp 1.7 on Ubuntu 12.04. I need to add ssh2 php extensions. Can you explain which files I need and where? How do I need to modify php.ini?

I did some research - "I don't think that is going to happen".

It appears you have to do a make/build compile to get it to work.

That is next to impossible with XAMPP/lampp - XAMPP is not actually an installed LAMP stack - see this post of mine about it:
