Can't access phpMyAdmin, XAMPP starts normally

Postby dulik » 18. March 2013 23:48

Hello everybody!
I have problem with phpmyadmin access:

    MySQL said:
#2002 - No such file or directory
The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured).
Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.

Xampp starts normally and http://localhost is OK too:
Code: Select all
Starting XAMPP for Linux 1.8.1...
XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL (and PHP5)...
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...
XAMPP: Starting ProFTPD...
XAMPP for Linux started.

I dont know where can be the problem. Please help.

what was the exact URL you used, or did you try to access it from the XAMPP Welcome Page?

Also look at this sticky:

Good Luck
