Hope a fresh pair of eyes may see something I have missed - I did attempt to do a WAMP build but that just brought a sack full of other issues, another problem is the sites 20GB and cant get a full download to my own PC on my crap broadband so doesnt help that I have to run it on a dedicated server remotely and try fix :(

The site is stable and when the error above happens a manual page refresh and page loads ok happens on any page randomly and error is normally "connection reset"

Have read so many threads here and on google I just going round in circles trying to find a fix :(

Re: Faulting module name: php5ts.dll, version: 5.3.8.0, time

Postby JonB » 20. February 2013 20:00

I should make a more complete answer - when you get an error like that - the is a problem with the actual source code that drives Apache & php. Its NOT an error that is fixable without revising the C source. Thus - any solution is a 'workaround' not a 'fix'. And that is why the link is to php.net's BUG tracking system.

What is happening is the compiled code (dll) is trying to write to/fetch from protected memory - aka a buffer overflow issue.

You should seek answers with the PHP community. More specifically, you may find that an older XAMPP/PHP version may not cause the same issue - in your case.

Some research may turn up another workaround you can try. This is not a XAMPP specific problem - its php version(s) specific.

Good Luck
