XAMPP Oracle 11g

Postby torayeff » 10. January 2013 11:17

I am running RHEL 6 server. I have installed XAMPP on it. I have problems with enabling oci8 extension for it. My oracle database is installed in /ur/lib/oracle/ folder. All files including libclntsh.so is located in /usr/lib/oracle/client64/lib/ folder. But when I run /opt/lampp/lampp oci8 it asks me path for oracle instant client. I enter /usr/lib/oracle/client64/lib/. Even if libclntsh.so is in that folder, it says me that it could not find that library. Can anyone guide me with this?

Xampp is a pure 32bit application, i dont think that you can "mix it" with your 64bit Oracle client.

Can you suggest me the right installation? I have been trying it for 2 days.

You should probably install the 32 bit Oracle client.

Good Luck
