Does XAMPP 1.7.4 support IPV6

Hello. I am so glad I found this forum! On this website, http://tng.lythgoes.net/wiki/index.php?title=XAMPP, it shows that the 1.7.4 version of XAMPP doesn't support IPV6. I have the 1.7.4 version running on a Windows IPV6 machine and it will not connect to the mysql database (as root@localhost or as root@systemname). I can, however, connect to the database of another system (which is IPV4) from that IPV6 machine.

So, my first question is "Does XAMPP 1.7.4 support IPV6"?

I tested it on 1.8.1 to verify it worked (it did) then I tested it on 1.7.4 and it does not appear to support it.

We probably don't want to go to the latest version (1.8.1), is there some way to know what versions in between 1.7.4 and 1.8.1 do support IPV6.

I just tried it on 1.7.7 and it worked.
