Thank you for your fast reply.
I'm sorry, I didn't see the English forum. I'll know for next time.
I have just made a reboot to copy the log entries after the automatic startup of the apache service, and these entry seem very naive to me:
[Wed Feb 25 11:07:57 2004] [notice] Parent: Created child process 988
[Wed Feb 25 11:07:58 2004] [notice] Child 988: Child process is running
[Wed Feb 25 11:07:58 2004] [notice] Child 988: Acquired the start mutex.
[Wed Feb 25 11:07:59 2004] [notice] Child 988: Starting 250 worker threads.
And I can access my website through port 8000. However, as I initially stated, I can't access my website from an external computer (I use a proxy for this test). When I restart the service, I get the following error.log entries:
[Wed Feb 25 11:18:09 2004] [notice] Child 988: All worker threads have exited.
[Wed Feb 25 11:18:09 2004] [notice] Child 988: Child process is exiting
[Wed Feb 25 11:18:09 2004] [notice] Parent: Child process exited successfully.
[Wed Feb 25 11:18:10 2004] [notice] Parent: Created child process 4072
[Wed Feb 25 11:18:10 2004] [notice] Child 4072: Child process is running
[Wed Feb 25 11:18:10 2004] [notice] Child 4072: Acquired the start mutex.
[Wed Feb 25 11:18:10 2004] [notice] Child 4072: Starting 250 worker threads.
And I can access my website externally.
Regarding the System Event Log: I'm not sure I know where to find it. I opened the Even Viewer in Administration Tools, and there I found 2 information entries that came before the service was started (11:07:42):
Application popup: : Machine Check: Regs
and
Microsoft (R) Windows (R) 5.01. 2600 Service Pack 1 Uniprocessor Free.
I also have 2 error entries that occured after (11:09:18):
The hMailServerMySQL service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the path specified.
and
The PfModNT service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the path specified.
Regarding the hMailServerMySQL, it is something I uninstalled long ago and it seems the service wasn't properly uninstalled.
Any clue what might cause the problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
