can't start apache

Problems with the Linux version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

can't start apache

Postby waspinator » 23. December 2012 15:55

this is the output I get when running sudo /opt/lampp/lampp start

Code: Select all
XAMPP: Starting Apache with SSL (and PHP5)...
XAMPP: Error 1! Couldn't start Apache!
XAMPP: Starting diagnose...
XAMPP: Sorry, I've no idea what's going wrong.
XAMPP: Please contact our forum http://community.apachefriends.org/f/
XAMPP: Starting MySQL...
XAMPP: Starting ProFTPD...
XAMPP for Linux started.

It was working fine for weeks. I changed some configuration stuff in httpd.conf, but I'm pretty sure I changed them back. Is there a way I can tell what is wrong?

Thanks

Betcha didn't.

You should look in your Apache error log.
