Where should I install 'WordPress'?

I have finished the installation of XAMPP in ubuntu successfully.
And I chceked all features of it to be run good.

I want to install wordpress in addition.
Which directory should I install wordpress?

I am a novice in ubuntu.

I want to receive a guide.

WordPress should be installed under /opt/lampp/htdocs.

Their five minute install works just fine.
