PEAR install [Resolved]

Postby Squidge » 03. September 2012 21:14

Hi all,

I am a long time user of XAMPP and have stubbled on an issue.

PEAR does not seem to install. I have gone through the process of downloading go-pear.phar, all goes ok, run the PEAR-ENV.REG all goes ok.

But when i run pear help, i get nothing.

Rebooted tried pear help again, and nothing, no error.

Can anyone help?

Did you use the XAMPP Shell?

No this was via cmd from PHP folder.

I have managed to resolve this.

PEAR does not install correctly when Apache is set as a service.

Ran fresh install with out installing as service, run go-pear.phar, all functioned. Rebooted, installed services. ta Da

That's odd - just worked OK with the XAMPP Shell & CMD with Apache as a service for me.

I suspect we just have a co-incidence on the first install...

Good Luck
