Xampp Security Error 403 problem!

Access forbidden!

New XAMPP security concept:

Access to the requested directory is only available from the local network.

This setting can be configured in the file "httpd-xampp.conf".

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

Error 403

www.mywebsite.com
07/20/12 14:22:33
Apache/2.2.21 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/1.0.0e PHP/5.3.8 mod_perl/2.0.4 Perl/v5.10.1

Suddenly out of the blue this is the error message popped up.
I have googled and researched this but nothing has worked.
Usually there is an IP address but my has our website.

Anyone know what to do? I didn't ever have xampp either.

Perhaps your domain expired, or you have a dynamic ip?

hint: you should ping your 'www.mywebsite.com' and see what it resolves to --

Then enter that IP in your browser, and see what happens

i.e 'http://nnn.nn.nn.nnn/ (where the n's represent the IP derived from the ping resolution.

Good Luck

That means, at this moment, your domain is unreachable from the location that you initiated that ping. Could be routing, could be almost anything.

Two big questions come to mind:

A. Where do you believe your domain is located/hosted?

B. Did your domain expire at any point ???

You said you don't have XAMPP, right???

Maybe the best thing is for you to PM your domain name.

Good Luck

Are you still getting the original error????

If No - what's the issue?

IF yes, then send me a private message with the Domain Name in question, and I might be able to help you.

You could also possibly do me the courtesy of answering questions fully.

A. Where do you believe your domain is located/hosted?

Since you don't have XAMPP, and we don't "host' xampp for anyone - this is really not my issue. However it IS possible that whomever was hosting your Domain, broke our policies and used XAMPP for a production server (which might no longer be working) THAT could lead to that bizarre message. (which could happen on an improperly configured XAMPP- Apache server). And the only way to figure that out is to know the domain and IP. (you could also have a nameserver DNS issue)

Good Luck
