Apache doesn`t start

Postby ishmael27 » 02. July 2012 12:24

Hello !

My issue is about starting Apache process (it doesn`t even evet get into the windows tasklist) - occupied port 80 is not the issue, as there is nothing using it, and i`ve tried several random ports.

It is not a firewall / antimalware program issue, as i have disabled everything.

It has an interesting behavior. As none of the zipped versions don`t work (7z,zip), but the installer version does. The minute i change the folder name from xampp to xampp2 (installed path is standard C:\xampp), it stops working again.

I would really like to get the extractable version working.

What else does the installer modify/create registry/system wise that could be relevant to my problem.
Any ideas ?

I`m retarded, i ran the setup_xampp.bat as administrator, and of course it didn`t do it`s job, except i didn`t check the output of the shell.

Thanks.
