php not running

i recently installed Xampp1.7.2 but php is not running
while install it shows only four option on start for Apache,Mysql,FileZilla,Mercury
No option for Tomcat to start..
My operating system is Windows7(32bit)
any one plz help me to resolve this..

Is there any reason you don't use the current version XAMPP 1.7.7?

Please describe exactly what you are doing, what information your browser gives you (URL, errors), etc. Everything that could be helpful.

correct, in XAMPP 1.7.2 Tomcat was only available as AddOn Module.
Read the release notes for a listing of included components.
But how do you think should Tomcat be related to your php issue?

i am a beginner in php scripting so as in Xampp so i am not able to find current version of xampp


but now i start to download xampp 1.7

You don't give us ANY information that is needed to answer that question.

So the only possible answer is:
If your Apache is running successful and your files are saved in the correct place you just need to request the files with the ip of the server.
