Hi Bobakrome,

Are you still using the XAMPP version 1.7.3 or do you use the current 1.7.7?
If you are running XAMPP components as services take a look into your Windows event log.
Some problems will be reported only there.

best wishes,
Altrea

Search in the system and application category for warning and error messages from apache.
Sorry that it is a bit complicated now, but thats the price to pay if you want to use components as windows services.

Please unregister your Apache service and try to start Apache only with the Start button in your XAMPP control panel.

If this don't work, please try this
  • open your windows command line
  • navigate to your \xampp\apache\bin\ folder
  • start httpd.exe

best wishes,
