Hi saadi03,

The mysql admin button of the default control panel is without any functionality.
You can either open your Browser and type in http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ or use the xampp-control-3-beta.exe where the mysql admin button should work.

best wishes,
Altrea

Oh, you are correct. In the current version this button should work. Never tested it before :D
In XAMPP 1.7.4 it was without any function.

So if you hit the MySQL Admin Button realy nothing happens? No browser window or tab openes?

It should be places in your XAMPP installation folder (C:\xampp\).

What happens if you open the browser yourself and type in http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ ?

"not working" is no qualified error reporting.

WHAT is not working?
Don't you know, how to open your browser?
Or is your browser not able to start?
Or do you get an error message in your browser?
Or do you get a white page in your browser?

as detailed as possible please (with full error messages if some occur).

phpmyadmin can only work if your Apache is not started, so maybe your Apache is not started?

I just downloaded XAMPP and the Admin function does not work AND I am getting an error message when I attempt: http://localhost/phpmyadmin This is the error message:
Error
MySQL said:

#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

HELP! I am on a deadline to get a website up and running today... Thanks,
