XAMPP 1.7.7 missing php_openssl.dll line in php.ini

This necessary line was missing from my php.ini file:

;extension=php_openssl.dll


It's needed in the Dynamic Extensions / Windows Extensions section in order to send SMTP mail using tls.
Without it, this error occurs:

Unable to find the socket transport "tls" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?

It is just necessary if you want to use SSL functionality with PHP, which is not very common on local testing and development environments

did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?

Not all modules possible are enabled by default. If you need one, you can enable it by yourself very easy as you have done.
