Hi
I am trying to set up xampp on mac [running Snow Leopard]

I am most of the way through the install and it is tell me I am missing wp-config.php

I tried to have the software set it up and it didn't work.

I see instructions on how to create the file... but frankly I am not so technical.......

can anyone help me create this file....... I see it looks for web hosting info...... I am trying to set up xampp so i can develop a theme on my desktop.........
appreciate any wysiwyg directions
thanks

use 'localhost' or 127.0.0.1 for your entries in wp-config.php and in the Dashbaord for your URL's

/** MySQL hostname */
define('DB_HOST', 'localhost');

you can use wp-config-sample.php as a starting point.

Good Luck
