how to compile extra module for xampp

Recently ,I installed xampp 1.7.7 in my ubuntu.
Then I want to write a extra module for my xampp .
but I cannot find ext_skel under dir ,php-version/ext because this dir doesn't exist.
I also download xampp-linux-devel-1.7.7.tar.gz,
But I donnot know how to use it to compile extra module .
can someone help?
I'm from China,my english is not very good,so ,I holp some one can understand me.
