Problems saving httpd.conf

Postby F.Haferkorn » 02. April 2012 13:30

Hello,

I am Unsing Win32 Apache version 2.2.2.
I downloaded "httpd-2.2.22-win32-x86-openssl-0.9.8t.msi"

Without any problems ,
I got it up and running showing me the "it works" html file.

BUT, I try to switch on SSL ( via "loading mod_ssl" and including "extras/httpd-ssl.conf")
when I try to edit and SAVE the file:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\conf\httpd.conf

I always get the message box:

"Pleas check whetehr if this file is opened by another program"

I removed the start of "Monitor Apache server" from "Autostart",

but I still cannot save that httpd.conf file.

What is wrong?
What do I have to do in an ther way?

Yours,
Frank Haferkorn

SOLVED:

I had not the correct WRITE Access to httpd.conf,
as it was stored in C:\Programme (x68)\....

Only Admin has write access files below this Directory.
