[Solved] xampp for 1'st time yesterday have questions

Postby attaboy » 27. March 2012 18:12

I've used wamp in the past so I'm not a complete stranger to Apache. I just went with the defaults when I installed. On the Control Panel if I click the start button next to MySql the button toggles to stop and the word running with a green background appears all of which is reassuring. When I Click the start button next to Apache I get a message in the text box at the bottom telling me that Apache started [port 80] but the button doesn't toggle to stop and there's no reassuring green blob telling me that it's running...is this normal?

never mind... I found a fix. I read a post here where the person fixed the problem by downloading and running a C++ redistributable package from Microsoft.
