Editing the hosts file in windows (HELP)

Postby jacett » 21. February 2012 02:49

Hey,

I recently edited the hosts file (%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc)
on one of my Windows based computers to include a URL

127.0.0.1 www.mysite.com

I use this for demonstation purposes
however, when I enter the URL in my browser it returns http://www.mysite.com/xampp/

How can remove the last bit that has been appended to the URL?

simply delete, move or edit your \xampp\htdocs\index.php file. It includes a redirect to the \xampp\htdocs\xampp\ folder by default.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!
