PROFTPD problem :( [Resolved]

i was used Xampp before 1 month,it was really great i used CentOS 5 32bit..
last day my VPS got crashed(it was company problem,not mine)

so i've installed xampp again..i've faced this problem..i really dont know what to do..
then i reported to vps company, they said "same ip..so there was no problem with us"

Hi itzy

I note that MySQL has an issue also, so you probably have a few problems.

Let me ask you a couple of questions:

A. - When you say your VPS crashed, please tell me how that was remediated by the hosting company?

Did they A - 1. Load a clean image (new virtual server) ?

OR A - 2. Load a snapshot/backup of the running VPS from their recovery system?

B. - If they did A -2 (load snapshot) what did you do at that point?

(my first guess is that you unintentionally installed over your existing XAMMP/LAMPP install)

I guess I should ask you to say in your own words a more complete description of what happened. Including anything you did (beyond a clean installation of XAMPP) to bring things back.

I'm guessing this in an unmanaged VPS???

Just so you know for the future, LAMPP has a backup facility that allows recovering completely on the same 'platform' (OS + backup + new install of the same version of LAMPP == almost everything works again magically) ~ I know it works as I have tested it ~

actually it was HDD crash,so no backups..
finally i understood what was problem,so i've requested free demo vps..xampp worked fine on demo vps.
problem was with my primary vps..so hope it was misconfigured vps..
btw it's semi managed solusVM VPS
