XAMPP 1.7.7 MySQL langsam

Hallo zusammen,

ich bin ein absolutes Greenhorn was MySQL Administration angeht. Ich habe XAMPP 1.7.7 auf einem Server mit Dual core AMD Opteron, 2GB RAM, 2x SATA Platten. MS Windows Server 2008R2. In einer MySQL DB sind mittlerweile knapp 1.5GB an Daten. Die Abfragen sind sehr träge, >30s pro Abfrage.

Die my.ini ist die "Standard" die im mysql/bin liegt. Ich habe noch weitere ini´s gefunden (small, huge, ...). Was muss ich hier bei den ganzen Parametern anpassen, damit die Abfragen zügiger auf der doch eigentlich performanten Hardware laufen?

Hallo bernie69,

Die Standard my.ini Datei ist so ausgelegt, dass auch etwas betagtere Rechner damit laufen können. Sie basiert auf der Datei my-small.ini.
Auf aktuellen Rechnern kann man getrost auf die my-large.ini zurückgreifen, wobei es vorallem auf den RAM ankommt.
Vergleiche einfach mal die my-small.ini und die my-large.ini miteinander, dann wirst du schon sehen, welche Werte du wie verändern solltest (das betrifft vorallem die Speichergrößen im [mysqld] und [myisamchk] Block).

Bechte, dass deine my.ini bereits Pfadangaben besitzt, die deiner Installation spezifisch gesetzt sind. Diese solltest du natürlich nicht ändern.

Und am allerwichtesten: mach vorher ein Backup deiner my.ini, so dass du Problemlos wieder zurückwechseln kannst, falls die neue Konfiguration sich nicht erwartungsgemäß verhält.
