Enable SSL

Postby wimvdb » 12. December 2011 15:30

Hello To you all,

I'm new to the forum so please be kind if the following question is kind of bizar.

I'm in need of opening an SSL socket with xampp to be able to send an email via gmail on a localhost. Somehow this doesn't seem to work. I'm using PHP Mailer because of companies policies as a mailing program.

How can I enable SSL with Xampp so I can send mails from our local website before I place it online.

Kind regards
wimvdb

Hi wimvdb,

You don't need to do something, because OpenSSL is already included and activated by default with XAMPP.
Possible issues are your PHP Mailer configuration and the security components of your company.

best wishes,

Could you please add to your profile the correct Windows version as just saying Windows tells us nothing about the version you are using.
